When doing the “Testing touch Screen” part of my ebook after downloading the code as soon as the screen comes up and without touching the screen, it is already showing X=-12  Y=346 and Z=4095.  Does this mean my screen is stuck being pressed and is bad?

humm… I’m not sure.
Try to continue testing the example and tell me the results.

Nothing happens when touching screen and the display continues to show X=-12,  Y=346 and Z- 4095. Even if I reboot everything it goes straight to the same display of the values above.
I ordered another screen and I will see when I get that what happens.  The new screen comes later today. Also I might add, looking at the serial monitor in arduino ide shows continuous scrolling like I am holding down a pressed point on the screen.
