Hi,
I bought the book “Firebase Web App with the ESP32/ESP8266”
Everything worked up to page 140. Now I can’t get the login to work.
I get an error saying “Incorrect use of <label for=FORM_ELEMENT>
The label’s for attribute doesn’t match any element id. This might prevent the browser from correctly autofilling the form and accessibility tools from working correctly.”
My firebase setting in the “index.html” looks like this:
var firebaseConfig = {
apiKey: “AIzaSyCdHIqux5LM3cG57LjRxxxxxxxxjT2Cjjc”,
authDomain: “esp-iot-app.firebaseapp.com”,
databaseURL: “https://sog-esp32-xxxxxxxxx-default-rtdb.europe-west1.firebasedatabase.app”,
projectId: “sog-esp32-xxxxxxxxx”,
storageBucket: “sog-esp32-xxxxxxxxx.firebasestorage.app”,
messagingSenderId: “8526xxxxxx18”,
appId: “1:852616596318:android:c135696xxxxxxxxxx31dcf”
I need a little help to get going.
Best regards Soren
Hi.
I’m sorry for taking so long to get back to you. I’ve been sick for the past few days.
At that point in the project, the login form is not working yet. It’s only the graphical user interface. That is mentioned in the first paragraph of that page
“You can click on the Login button, and a new window will pop up to enter an email
address and a password. At the moment, it isn’t working yet.“
Only after setting up all the files, it will start working.
Let me know if you have more questions.
Regards,
Sara
