Hi there,
I’m working on the “smarthome” course in the NODE-RED chapter.
I can’t create the tabs. I did what you explain p. 71 and 72 but I have the message “you have some unused configuration nodes” and the address myAddress:1880/UI  only gives the screen “welcome to the Node-Red Dashboard”
Can you help me ?
I thank you in advance
Mr VDB

Hi.
I’m not sure if you have the latest version of the eBook…
Did you add a switch node to the flow?
Regards,
Sara

Thank you for your quick reply.
I think I have the latest version of the book (443 pages).
I started over from the beginning. I didn’t understand how to place the object using the drop-down list.
I didn’t understand either that we had to create the group [Raspberry Pi]
And I hadn’t understood that you had to click on the banner of the UI page to display the groups created.
Just be stubborn 😉

Is everything working now?
Do you need help with something? You just need to ask.

I understood where my difficulties came from: There are two “switch” nodes, the first (yellow) in the functions, the second (blue) in ‘dashboard’. The beginner that I am had not seen it .

I’m sorry for the misunderstanding.
We’ll add a note to the new version of the eBook about that situation.
The new updated version will come up in a couple of weeks. So, stay tuned!
I’ll mark this issue as resolved. If you need further help, you just need to open a new question in our forum.
Regards,
Sara
