When I upload the programs in my ESP and on my Samsung S8 phone, everything goes well upon the connection.

I just get a blank screen when I want to connect.

I tested to connect with nrF and SerialToBLuetooth, and the the connection to the ESP32 is made.

I also tried other available examples from the net, and I always get the same issue. No connections are proposed.

How could I solve this issue?

Hi Frederik.
What do you mean? Can you be a little more specific?
You get a blank screen when you tap the “Connect button”?
In your smartphone if you go to your bluetooth settings and “Pair a new device” menu, does it show up?
Regards,
Sara

Hi Sara,
indeed, when tapping the connect button, the screen remains blank. Pairing the device works.
Meanwhile, I have found an intermediate solution. It works, if in the Bluetooth menu of the Samsung phone, I allow connections with other devices.
As nrF and SerialToBluetooth work without this option, I’m wondering if there is a setting in MIT that would overcome this issue.
Thanks,
Frederik

Hi Frederik,
I’m not aware of a solution for that in the MIT app inventor.
However, I’ve found this discussion that may help you: https://community.appinventor.mit.edu/t/need-to-be-able-to-scan-and-pair-bluetooth-devices-within-the-app/2661
