Hi,
I’m just starting with the Smart Home Project. As the RPi4 meanwhile costs 260€ in Germany (if you can get one) I wonder if the 1GB version ist enough for the whole project. I have just a 1GB laying around.  Thank you.
Hajo.

Hi.
But what is the model of your Pi? Is it the Pi4 with 1GB RAM?

Sara

Hi Sara
yes, its a Pi4 with 1GB.
Regards, Hajo.

BTW: its impossible to connect to Node-Red with Opera (from Win10) or with Chrome. The only answer from both are two lines of numbers. The only browser that works is Firefox (from Win10). Of course, Chromium from Rpi also works. 🙂

Hi.
I guess it should work for most projects.
The Pi might be slow executing some commands or installing some packages, but I think you’ll be able to follow.

What happens when you try to connect with those browsers? Do you get any error messages on the web browser?
Regards,
Sara

No error message. Answer from Opera and Chrome (Win10):

That doesn’t mean much…
Do you get any message like something “unable to reach the server” ?

Do you have any antivirus plugin or something like that installed on your web browser?

Regards,

Sara

No error message and I use the same URL under Win10 from Opera, Chrome and Firefox (only that works) and with Chromium (from RPi, works). No plugins. I don’t know the reason, but it is not so important. I can do it with Firefox.
Thank you. Regards, Hans.

I don’t understand why it wouldn’t work with other web browsers…
For now, I’ll mark this issue as resolved. Meanwhile if you find something, let us know.
Regards,
Sara
