send email issue

I have two questions. I recently used the email program to email alerts coming from an esp32. to my gmail account.
the program works nicely but In my situation I’m monitoring 10 alarm points. There is always the possibility of getting a flood of alerts . I decided to keep the SMTP session open for  1 minute to process alert more quickly. I removed the smtp.closesession  function but it still closes after each mail.
Question 2.. It would be really nice to convert these emails to text messages. i use the ##########@txt.att.net. and that works fine but I have to automate the process of forwarding the email to that gateway. It needs to be free btw. I was not not able to automate the gmail because forwarded messages will only be sent to a verified address. That leaves IFTTT and Zapier. No luck on those. Appreciate any ideas

Hi.
I’m not sure that I understand properly. Do you want to receive a txt message on your phone?
For free solutions, you can use Telegram, Whatsapp.

For SMS, I tried twilio, but it is not free:

If you want notifications on your phone, many people use Pushover, but it’s also not free.

I hope this helps.
Regards.
