Sending Email from ESP32

This is getting painful.  I have tried a number of times to send email from the ESP32 using your sketch.  I see this question has been asked before, but even after reading your answers, it still doesn’t work.  I am getting a message from Gmail saying my password isn’t right.  I know this can be the result of it not recognizing the email app.  I have allowed insecure apps in Gmail and fully tested the account including password.  Other than the account and the Recipient your sketch is used intact

Hi.
I’m sorry for that issue.
It is very difficult to find out what might be wrong.
What is exactly error that you’re getting? And what’s the code that you’re using? We have several projects that use email.
If you provide more detail, maybe I can help you better.
Regards,
Sara

I got it to work.  For your information.  If you don’t use the Gmail account, Gmail turns off “use less secure apps”.  This could be a problem for IOT applications.  My account had that flag turned off and I did not get any notification.  As you no doubt know Google reports practically everything that happens to your account.  Apparently not changes it makes to your account.  They also don’t say how often they check for usage, but in my case it was less than three weeks.
Thanks for all your help.  You do answer emails and I appreciate it.
Jim

Hi Jim.
I didn’t know about that. Thanks for telling me.
I’m happy that you get it working.
I’ll mark this question as resolved. If you need further help, you just need to open a new question in our forum.
Regards,
Sara
