Sorry,
I’m trying to complete the smart home course. Yesterday, I completed the part that checks functionality between node red and mqtt. It set up node red to turn a led on/off. It worked as expected. Today I used browser to access the RPI 4 and try to repeat the test. The nodes were grayed out with a dashed outline and were not accessible. Is this and indication that node red cannot access mqtt and I have to load mqtt again?

Hi.
That means that the nodes are not connected to MQTT.
Can you check that if your MQTT broker is running?
You can run the following command on the Raspberry Pi:
sudo systemctl status mosquitto

Let me know the results.
Regards,
Sara
