Hello, I am a faithful reader of your extraordinary tutorials. I am currently working on the “TakePhotoWebSever” project from the ESP32CAM book. I would like to call this project from the outside with a port forwarding.
The first step is to define a fixed IP address, which I do by introducing in setup
IPAddress ip(192, 168, 0, 37); IPAddress gateway(192, 168, 0, 1); IPAddress subnet(255, 255, 255, 0); IPAddress dns(109, 88, 203, 3); WiFi.config(ip, dns, gateway, subnet);
The IP address chosen is 192.168.0.39 (the one chosen by the default router). And it doesn’t work !!!
Can you help me ?
I thank you in advance
Hi.
Thank you for following and supporting our work 🙂
Why do you say it doesn’t work?
What happens? Do you get any errors?
Can you describe a little more your issue?
If you give a little more detail maybe I can help you better.
Regards,
Sara
Hi,
I am enclosing part of the setup. The one I added is commented / * If I load the sketch as is, everything works. If I uncomment the part that I added, the program answers me “site inaccessible”. I have already used this technique in other of your sketches (ESP8266 book “) I do not understand. I can send you the whole sketch ..
void setup() { // Serial port for debugging purposes Serial.begin(115200); /* IPAddress ip(192, 168, 0, 39); IPAddress gateway(192, 168, 0, 1); IPAddress subnet(255, 255, 255, 0); IPAddress dns(109, 88, 203, 3); WiFi.config(ip, dns, gateway, subnet); */ // Connect to Wi-Fi WiFi.begin(ssid, password); while (WiFi.status() != WL_CONNECTED) { delay(1000); Serial.println("Connecting to WiFi..."); } if (!SPIFFS.begin(true)) { Serial.println("An Error has occurred while mounting SPIFFS"); ESP.restart(); } else { delay(500); Serial.println("SPIFFS mounted successfully"); } // Print ESP32 Local IP Address Serial.print("IP Address: http://"); Serial.println(WiFi.localIP());
// Turn-off the ‘brownout detector’
WRITE_PERI_REG(RTC_CNTL_BROWN_OUT_REG, 0);
Hi.
Yes, it would be better if you send the entire sketch, so that I can try it myself.
Regards,
Sara
Here is the complete sketch. It’s the one in the book. I chose port 3053 for redirection. I deleted my credentials. The sketch starts and gives the correct IP address (192.168.0.39). site inaccessible if I add IPAddress ip (192, 168, 0, 39); Â Â IPAddress gateway (192, 168, 0, 1); Â Â IPAddress subnet (255, 255, 255, 0); Â Â IPAddress dns (109, 88, 203, 3); Â WiFi.config (ip, dns, gateway, subnet); I double-checked the DNS address. Here is the full sketch:
