Hi! This is not a question but a tip. I was going to help my daughter with a temperature monitoring and I had some Raspberry 3b lying around so I followed carefully and installed broker and node-red. But it didn’t work I got a message like this: Message: 22.88 /nPublishing on topic esp32jerle37/ds18b20/temperature at QoS 1, packetId: 0 and so it was always repeated with packetid 0 it didn’t get into Node-Red. Tested with another Raspberry 3b with the same result. Freed a Raspberry 4 and the same installation, worked right away. Now I started to understand what the error was somewhere and I found a Raspberry 3b + that I installed and it worked perfectly. Raspberry 3b+ has a different wifi circuit that is a little sharper than the one on Raspberry 3b. So the problem is probably in the access point that is not communicating with the Raspberry 3b. With another router or access point perhaps there might not be any problems, but in my case it took a few hours to pinpoint where the problem was. I hope someone else can benefit from my troubleshooting.
Regards
Anders

Hi.
Thank you for sharing your problem.
However, it is a little weird that the RP3 doesn’t get the MQTT messages… unless it is quite far away from the Wi-Fi.

Thanks for sharing.

Sara

No the distans is about 1 m and it`s the same for all of them, in my test. I remember that I have had this problem before and I solved it by change from mixed mode to just one b or g and then it worked, but this access point dosen`t have this benefit. I will test some more and change to another access point to find out exatly what is the problem.

Hello!
The problem is in the access point. I have used the ap for my telephone and ther was no problem. I have changed to another ap and then it worked .I tried again by reprogramming the ESP32 to old access points with the result that it did not work. And I have the latest firewarm installed.
Regards
Anders
