Uninstalling Arduino IDE prior to upgrade

John Hayhow asked 5 years ago

I am trying to remove Arduino IDE in order to install the latest version in preparation for following the ESP32 CAM course.
The program will run but I cannot find any reference to it in the software manager. It is not registered as installed. I cannot find any reference to the original installation files by searching. Computer is running Ubuntu 18.04.

Any suggestions,
John Hayhow.

Hi Sara,
The advice given in your reference did not work, but I found the original download file and was able to use the uninstall script to remove the old program. The new version is now installed. Thanks for your help.
Regards,
John.
