My ESP32 Devkit (30 pins) has a clk imprinted where the picture in the course has a gnd.  It is the 2nd pin from the bottom on the right.  I’m having trouble getting the PWM and the touch sketches to work and wonder if this could be a problem.  Thanks if you can help.

Hi,.
You shouldn’t have any problems as long as you’re using the right pins.
If the pin is marked as CLK, it means it isn’t a GND pin. You must use the pins marked with “GND” as GND pins.
If you’re having troubles with PWM and touch sketches, it must be related with another issue.
Can you send me a picture of your board?
To share a picture you can share a link to google drive, imgur or dropbox, for example.

Sara

Sara, I’ve tried unsuccesfully to get a picture showing the clk pin.  I’ve not been able to do it.  The PWM code is working now, however.  I’ve done several things that might help others.  I was using a breadboard with one side of the ESP32 pins inserted.  The side I had programmed for the sketch was not the side with the pins inserted.  I was using female to male connectors to connect to led and the GND.  The female connectors were very loose.  I’ve changed the ESP32 so that the connections I want to make are always on the breadboard.  Even though the pin says clk, I’m using it as a GND.  I imagine that it was mislabeled.    I’ve changed the ledPin to 23,  In any case, the PWM sketch works.  Thanks for your help.

Great! I’m glad everything is working now.
There are some cheap female jumper wires that are very loose. This can result in connection issues and sometimes it is not easy to identify the source of the issue.
I’ll mark this issue as resolved.
If you need further help, you can open a new question in our forum.
