Is there a way to rid that first start up screen before VS opens, kinda annoying. Default:C:\Windows\system32wsl.exe ctrl+alt+1. Or do I just go to that area and remove it.🤷🏻♂️
Hi.
I’m not sure what you’re referring to. My VS Code just opens with a new untitled file.
You can try that, but I’m not sure what it actually does.

When I downloaded the VS I guess that the one I got was a newer version than what you have in your instructions. It is somewhat difficult to follow because the UI is laid out differently than that of the book. But when it starts it comes up with a screen that says to hit a key to continue. Also the one in the instructions an icon like a 🐜 head where this icon is more of a square. All the same functionality is there it’s just laid out differently. That has taken me some getting used to but workable. Also wanted to tell you I am really enjoying this , it looks intense as far as all the coding but I guess in time I should get it.Thanks
Hi.
That’s strange because I installed a new version on another computer to try it out, and the layout and everything seem the same except from some small details that souldn’t make a difference.
Can you show me a printscreen of your VS Code? To share a printscreen, you can upload it to google drive and then share a link to the file.
