Great course, everything works except, why when I arm the smoke device and there is no smoke it beeps. 
When I arm the PIR and there is no motion all is good.

Hi Sandra.
Did you check your smoke sensor to see if it is outputting the right signal at the right time?
Create an example sketch that only reads the smoke sensor to check if it is working as expected. You may need to adjust the threshold on the potentiometer:
