Hi, I have a problem with uPyCraft v1.1
When it starts up its asking me to install the SourceCodePro font even though it is already installed.
I can see the fonts in WinWord.
After it started up I managed to flash the 8266, but I cannot connect to it or disconnect from it. The icon on the right side indicated that it is connected, even when it is not connected to the PC.
When i press the icon I get a crazy errormessage:
could not open port ‘None’: FileNotFoundError(2, ‘The system cannot find the file specified.’, None, 2)
I need some hints to get on with the book.
regards
Olav
Hi Olav.
Read this discussion and see if you can solve the font problem: https://rntlab.com/question/sourcecodepro-font/
To establish a connection, first you need to go to Tools> Serial and select the COM port. Then, the “link” icon should change accordingly (if it is connected or not). You can also click on that button to connect or disconnect from the device.
After being connected, you can upload code to the board.
If you don’t like uPycraft IDE, you can try Thonny IDE. Check Module 7.
Let me know if you were able to solve your problem.
Regards,
Sara
